Our friend and Sabre coach Allan Garmonsway has sadly passed away. Allan was an active member, coach and competitor at Dacorum Fencing Club for as long as we can remember.
Always encouraging others. His enthusiasm to pass knowledge to our young fencers and help bring on the next generation will never be forgotten. A proud Kiwi, Fencing in the 2022 Commonwealth Championships was a challenge, but one that he embraced, he quipped, ‘they must be desperate’.
Allan will be missed by us all. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
