It was with great pride that Brian Speight received his British Empire Medal for services to fencing at Buckingham Palace yesterday – Tuesday 28 May.
Brian looked every inch the gentleman, proudly sporting his medal on his chest as he posed for a photograph outside the iconic landmark.
‘My wife and I had a wonderful day, it was perfect in every way. I received congratulations from Prince Edward who took great interest in our sport’, he said.
The BVF Committee congratulates Brian on his honour, which is so very well deserved.
