The German Match takes place every year over the summer and alternates between various venues in the UK and Germany. The competition is fierce, as you would expect between these proud countries, but there is always a splendid dinner on the Saturday evening where the fencers meet up and share food, drink and tales of the day’s achievements.
BVF members need to apply to the Chair of Selectors to fence in this match. An appeal for applicants is emailed round before the event.
