The confirmed check in times for the BVF Age Groups Champs are as follows:
Sabre: Friday 19th April 2024
Men’s and Women’s Sabre 3 & 4 check in closes 15:00 to start asap
Epee and Sabre: Saturday 20th April 2024
Men’s Epee 1 & 2 and Women’s Epee (all) check in closes 08:30
Men’s Epee 3 & 4 and Men’s and Women’s Sabre 1&2 check in closes 12:30.
Foil: Sunday 21st April 2024
Men’s and Women’s Foil 1 & 2 check in closes 08:30
Men’s and Women’s Foil 3 & 4 check in closes 12:30 to start asap
The formats for each event have been planned based on the numbers of fencers in the event, to try and ensure a reasonable amount of fencing for all fencers, conscious of the fact that this is a selection event and that this event is to find the Age Group Champion for each Age Group. It has been decided that if an event has less than 5 participants then they will be merged with the next category above or below (1 & 2 merged or 3 & 4 merged only).
Currently that is only affecting MF1 and WS1. If other categories fall below the min of 5 on the day of the event then the format will be changed to adjust for the merging.
